5 August 2019, the day Article 370, the hand of oppression and injustice that crushed and destroyed Jammu and Kashmir, was abrogated, the day Article 35A, the cesspool of wrongdoing, was abrogated. That day, the dark spell on Kashmir was lifted, the day the sun of an inclusive, self-respecting, sovereign India shone.
However, before that sun rose, many fought against the darkness of separatism as sparkles, burning themselves. Many became stars in the sky and lit up. Some became lamps and gave light. One became the moon. Only after the courage and sacrifice of many Indians did the map of our country become complete.
